I have a quilt with a similar problem . . . . rather than ripping, I added some strategic applique to the back *s* Something to keep in mind if it ever happens again. Still all that work brought you a beauty of a quilt.Libbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17872055894285312153noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2132379637771962835.post-53466017962782455292009-01-20T02:15:00.000+02:002009-01-20T02:15:00.000+02:00The quilt turned out really well. I have always heard that sheets were not good to use for backing because the weave is too tight.Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01816001950084090576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2132379637771962835.post-45804269582131943142009-01-19T18:52:00.000+02:002009-01-19T18:52:00.000+02:00I've just done some rip rip rip on the backing too...I've just done some rip rip rip on the backing too after quilting in a few puckers...It's a horrible feeling, but it's worth fixing. But I often read blogs of australian quilters. Did you see how hot it is out there? The have to water the plants, cook jam, got to the beach, it is too hot to knit. So we are lot better off these days: we can just sit and knit and quilt and warm us with warm tea ;-)<BR/>Hugs KatjaKatjaquilthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16192766973821818429noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2132379637771962835.post-73854575744501955592009-01-19T16:49:00.000+02:002009-01-19T16:49:00.000+02:00Beautiful job on the quilt.
