I am back to my sewing machine and I can say that it feels good. I started a new scrap quilt after seeing some similar ones on some blogs. I devised a way of cutting and sewing stripes (probably not new to everybody else but me!) and it means that I can cut and piece a block in 30 minutes.
The squares are 1" finished. I don´t know how many I will make. When the top is big enough I will stop!
Of course I did not give up totally on wool! I dyed one roving and I finished plying the first yarn I am satisfied with. I got 370 meters out of 80 grams. That should be enough for a lacy scarf or something like that. My DH even found the perfect fitting name "Rhubarb"!
If only I had a spinning wheel....
Well in the meantime I will go back to my scrappy blocks and to my knitting.
I wish you a nice time with a lot of new projects.

I love your new scrappy blocks -- that's one of my favorite patterns.
Love, love, love those blocks! 30 minutes you say? Share, please, when you have the time.
Happy to see you back at the sewing machine :o) I love your blocks, it will be a fabulous quilt!
Oh, and I second Diana's request, please share how you put these blocks together!
Hello, oh, lovely, lovely, but did you know Lacoste was a tennis player?
Thanks for my napkins, they are lovely too!
Gros bisous

What beautiful blocks. Can't wait to see the completed top!
Your DH is right that looks exactly like the colors I would think of as rhubarb.
Your scrappy blocks are wonderful as always. 1" oh my, it looks like those will be "Y" seams to sew the blocks together, or not really? That seems to be one of those things that I can do but would rather not.
Wonderful blocks Gwen! This is going to be a lovely quilt!
I love your scrappy blocks. The colors you have chosen are just so pretty. 30 minutes is pretty great to get a block done!
What an undertaking, but my goodness it looks amazing.
How do you make this beautiful yarn, if you do not have a spinning wheel?
I love to knit & crochet, but I dont know about the yarns.
